On Thursday, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann married doctor Gurpreet Kaur at his home in Chandigarh. Arvind Kejriwal, the Delhi Chief Minister, arrived at Mann’s residence for the wedding. Kejriwal, speaking to reporters before departing for Chandigarh, wished Bhagwant Mann a happy married life as he “embarks on a new journey.”

As guests began to arrive, security was tightened around Mann’s house. Raghav Chadha, a Rajya Sabha member, was the first to arrive at the Bhagwant Mann wedding.

No photojournalist was allowed inside the venue.

Bhagwat Mann is married for the second time. Gurpreet Kaur is the youngest of three sisters and holds an MBBS degree from Maharishi Markandeshwar University in Mullana, Ambala. Bhagwant Mann’s mother, Harpal Kaur, is known to Kaur’s family, so the marriage is thought to be arranged.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, 48, married 32-year-old Dr. Gurpreet Kaur who is a native of Pehowa in Kurukshetra. Both got married in a private ceremony at his home, surrounded by security officials.
Bhagwant Mann split up with his first wife, Inderpreet Kaur, almost six years ago in 2015. His ex-wife and children now live in the United States.

Mann’s daughter Seerat Kaur Mann (21) and his son Dilshan Mann (17) traveled to India for his inauguration as Punjab chief minister on March 16.

Bhagwant Mann’s marriage was solemnized with a small family gathering and AAP leaders, including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Raghav Chadha, and AAP MP Sanjay Singh attended the wedding.

According to CM’s Media Director Baltej Pannu, Kejriwal performed the rituals on behalf of Mann’s father.

According to photos, Mann’s mother and sister, as well as a few other guests, including Kejriwal and his family, attended the Sikh-style wedding. But later many rituals were criticized by the Sikh nation that didn’t follow the Gurmat Maryada of Anand Karaj.

“We are all happy that happiness has returned to Mann Saab’s family after such a long time,” Raghav Chadha said. It was his mother’s dream to see her son re-establish himself,”

In a tweet, AAP leader and minister Harjot Singh Bains said, “God bless the sweet couple.” I’m delighted for Bhagwant Mann Ji and Dr. Gurpreet Ji.”

Tarun Chugh, a BJP leader, also congratulated Mann on the occasion. “We extend our best wishes to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann Ji on the occasion of his wedding.” May Waheguru’s blessings be upon the couple.”
